With over a decade of experience in the beauty industry, she’s known for her keen attention to detail, calming touch, and ability to make clients feel truly cared for. Before launching her business, Shy built a strong foundation in both patient care—working in optometry—and customer service as a server. She created The Shy Effect to offer a welcoming, judgment-free space where every client feels heard, seen, and celebrated. CANCELLATION POLICY
+ ALL POLICIES LATE CANCELLATION POLICY Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Card will not be automatically charged. If the cancellation fee is unable to be processed due to a declined card, future bookings will be restricted until the balance is resolved. Repeated issues may result in a permanent ban from scheduling services—no exceptions. NO SHOW POLICY No-shows or missed appointments without notice will be charged 100% of the service total—no exceptions. If three consecutive appointments are missed without notice, you may lose the ability to book future appointments. Should the card on file be declined when attempting to collect the no-show fee, booking privileges will be permanently revoked DEPOSITS Deposits are required to secure your appointment and will be applied toward your total service cost. Think of it as pay a little now, pay less later—this helps protect my time and commitment to you. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you cancel your appointment for any reason, your deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required to rebook—no exceptions. If you’d like to add services after booking, please contact Shy directly to ensure enough time is available for your appointment. REFUND POLICY Please note that all sales are final, and no refunds will be issued for any services or products. Shy encourages open communication during your appointment to ensure you are happy with the results before leaving. If you have any concerns, please refer to the Redo Policy to see if you qualify for a complimentary adjustment. GRACE PERIOD POLICY There is a 10 min grace period for appointments. After that, your service may be shortened or rescheduled. Rescheduling may result in a late cancellation fee. Please arrive promptly. CHILDRENS POLICY Junior clients of all ages are welcome! Children under 10 without an appointment must stay with a supervising adult. If not, your appointment may need to be rescheduled or canceled. FOREIGN LASH REFILL POLICY Foreign fills from other lash artists are not accepted. A removal and full set will be required. PACKAGES All service packages (excluding bridal) must be paid in full at the time of purchase to receive the discounted rate. Packages are non-refundable and non-transferable once purchased. Services must be booked in advance and are subject to availability. Packages must be used within the following timeframes per package terms and conditions. Unused sessions will expire after this period unless otherwise approved. Please provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. No-shows or late cancellations may result in one session being deducted from your package. It is the client’s responsibility to schedule all sessions within the active timeframe. Results vary depending on consistency and home care—regular attendance and aftercare are key. REDOES If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your service. Redo requests must be made within the same week of your original appointment. Redos are only available for the same service originally performed. No changes or new services will be included in a redo appointment. Improper care that results in dissatisfaction may void redo eligibility. Shy strives to ensure every client leaves feeling confident and cared for. If there’s an issue, please reach out promptly— Shy is here to make it right! PRODUCT EXCHANGE POLICY If you are unhappy with a product, you have 14 days from the date of purchase to return it for an exchange. Products must be unused, in original packaging, and accompanied by a receipt. The exchange must be for a product of equal or lesser value.
