Hey! I’m Shy — the owner and creator of The Shy Effect, your go-to for results-driven skincare without the pressure or fluff. My beauty journey started with makeup over a decade ago, and I’ve spent 10+ years perfecting my craft. That passion led me to skincare, where I learned that great skin is the key to a flawless look. I trained at The Spa School and now, with 2 years in the skincare industry, I’ve earned awards and helped train fellow estheticians. I specialize in custom facials, advanced chemical peels, and bridal makeup, delivering stress-free, camera-ready luxury for your most important days. When I’m not in the treatment room, I’m exploring local breweries, cheering at sports games, or diving into the latest skincare trends—with dessert always on deck. Whether you're new to skincare or a seasoned pro, I'm here to help you feel comfortable, confident, and cared for—shy or not!
CANCELLATION POLICY
ALL POLICIES: LATE CANCELLATION POLICY: Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. NO SHOW POLICY: No-shows or missed appointments without notice will be charged 100% of the service cost. No exceptions. If you miss three consecutive appointments without notice, you may lose the ability to book future appointments. DEPOSITS: All deposits for makeup services, in studio bridal makeup, lessons and the Pro classes are final and cannot be refunded or transferred to another date or service. REFUND POLICY: Please note that all sales are final, and no refunds will be issued for any services or products. Shy encourages open communication during your appointment to ensure you are happy with the results before leaving. If you have any concerns, please refer to the Redo Policy to see if you qualify for a complimentary adjustment. GRACE PERIOD POLICY: There is a 10 min grace period for appointments. After that, your service may be shortened or rescheduled. Rescheduling may result in a late cancellation fee. Please arrive promptly. CHILDRENS POLICY: Junior clients of all ages are welcome! Children under 10 without an appointment must stay with a supervising adult. If not, your appointment may need to be rescheduled or canceled. FOREIGN LASH REFILL POLICY: Foreign fills from other lash artists are not accepted. A removal and full set will be required. REDOES: If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your service. Redo requests must be made within the same week of your original appointment. Redos are only available for the same service originally performed. No changes or new services will be included in a redo appointment. Improper care that results in dissatisfaction may void redo eligibility. Shy strives to ensure every client leaves feeling confident and cared for. If there’s an issue, please reach out promptly— Shy is here to make it right! PRODUCT EXCHANGE POLICY: If you are unhappy with a product, you have 14 days from the date of purchase to return it for an exchange. Products must be unused, in original packaging, and accompanied by a receipt. The exchange must be for a product of equal or lesser value.
